About Tetrahydrofuran
Tetrahydrofuran (C4H8O), commonly referred to as THF, is a cyclic ether that appears as a clear, colorless liquid with an ether-like odor. It is highly volatile, water-miscible, and has a low viscosity, which makes it an excellent solvent for a wide variety of organic substances, including resins, polymers, and some metals.
