    Dear all,

I'm interested in metal properties ans i'd like to know how can we have the refractive index of metals as a function of wavelength.
My question expects two answers :
    - How are measured n and k for several wavelength in the case of opaque metallic objects ?
    - Is it useful to approximate the calculation with empiric relations like Hagen-Rubens formula or Drude model ?

    Regards,
    Al
